Advanced Training with Sabine Schmid Blackaby - Developing and sustaining your practice An Advanced Training to reflect on your practice and support your confidence Sunday 29 March 2026 As practitioners, we are often aware of the potential of our work and the benefits it brings to our clients. However, we may be less sure about our own abilities and effectiveness, and this can dent our confidence. In this Advanced Training, we will reflect on and build upon what we already know and can do to support our growing professional skills and confidence. We will explore how to create meaningful and longer-lasting Functional Integration lessons for our clients. In part by learning more FI techniques but also by looking at ways to frame and contextualise lessons that help our clients to make more sense of their sensory-motor experience and their somatic learning. We will ask questions like "How do we relate what we do with our hands to the person's request and situation in life?" or "Are there ways we can communicate our approach to learning that facilitates our client’s understanding of an FI?" I endeavour to teach this day in a collaborative way so that we can all learn from and with each other. The day will include some theory, ATM, FI and small group discussions.
