"Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself."

M. Feldenkrais

What is Feldenkrais?

The Feldenkrais Method® is a gentle, yet powerful mind-body approach that helps you move with greater ease, flexibility, and comfort through mindful movement. This somatic educational practice works by re-educating your nervous system and increasing your kinaesthetic awareness.

The method is based on the understanding that many of us develop habitual movement patterns that limit our ability to move freely and efficiently – patterns that can contribute to pain, tension, and reduced mobility.

Feldenkrais lessons are offered in two distinct formats: "Awareness Through Movement" group classes where you're verbally guided through carefully designed movement sequences, and "Functional Integration" individual sessions where a practitioner uses gentle touch and movement to help increase your body awareness. By exploring new movement possibilities and becoming more conscious of how you move, you can break free from limiting patterns and cultivate improved posture, coordination, and overall function.

Whether you're recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, enhancing performance, or simply seeking greater body awareness, the Feldenkrais Method offers a transformative way to reconnect with your body's natural intelligence and unlock your full movement potential.

Our Story & Vision

The London Feldenkrais Collective was born out of two passions: making the Feldenkrais Method more accessible for everyone and creating a nurturing environment for new practitioners to develop their skills and experience.

Alice, Neil and Lars trained together on the London 4 training under Elizabeth Beringer and Scott Clark. Looking to galvanise on the supportive atmosphere from the training, they decided to start their practice together in a co-working style. under the mentorship of Scott Clark and Ryan Jansen.

This community-focused approach where several practitioners share the space has proven extremely generative and can provide a nurturing creative space for all participants visiting the London Feldenkrais Collective.

The London Feldenkrais Collective is built upon the following four pillars:

  1. Accessibility: Greater accessibility to the Feldenkrais Method & practitioners

  2. Variety: Practitioners with different backgrounds

  3. Feldenkrais for everyone: Offering the full spectrum of the Feldenkrais Method with group classes (Awareness Through Movement), individual sessions (Functional Integration) and workshops/advanced trainings both for the public and practitioners.

  4. Unlock your potential: Enabling people to learn how to move and act with greater ease in order to become more flexible, coordinated and dynamic.
