Terms & Conditions

Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:

  • “Lesson” includes individual lessons, group classes or workshops (but not Advanced Trainings for practitioners).

  • “Practitioner” includes every practitioner/teacher working under the umbrella of the London Feldenkrais Collective.

  • "Student" includes everyone attending individual lessons, group classes or workshops (but not Advanced Trainings for practitioners).

  • "Participant" includes everyone attending an Advanced Training for practitioners (see special clause 7 below).

1. Lessons

The Practitioner will give the lessons at the location specified when booking the lesson. The date and time of each lesson will be agreed in advance of each lesson by the Practitioner and the Student. The agreement should be confirmed in writing (for example through a confirmation email from the booking system).

2. Payment of fees

The Student will pay for each lesson on or before the day of the lesson (unless otherwise agreed).

3. Pricing

The London Feldenkrais Collective may increase fees from time to time and will give written notice of such an increase to the Student at least one month prior to the increase taking effect. Prices for lessons booked prior to any changes in price will be charged at the price agreed upon at time of booking.

4. Discounts and promotions

From time to time, the London Feldenkrais Collective might offer discounted rates for lessons or other promotions. These are valid at the time of offering until the promotion expires or the London Feldenkrais Collective ceases to offer the discounted rate. There is no obligation for the London Feldenkrais Collective to continue to offer lessons at a discounted rate after a promotion has expired.

5. Missed lessons/rescheduling

The London Feldenkrais Collective will charge for any scheduled lessons which the Student does not attend, unless either

  1. the Student has given the London Feldenkrais Collective/the Practitioner at least 24 hours’ written notice; or

  2. the London Feldenkrais Collective/the Practitioner chooses not to do so because of exceptional circumstances.

If the Practitioner cancels a scheduled lesson, the Student may choose between receiving a replacement lesson or receiving a refund of the lesson fee.

6. Online lessons

  1. The Student shall be responsible for a suitable location for online lessons on their side.

  2. The Student shall be responsible for provision of technology suitable for the online lesson and shall ensure that any applications or other technology specified by the Practitioner for the lesson is installed and tested before online lessons commence. The Practitioner is not responsible for the loan or supply of any equipment or materials, unless agreed in writing in advance.

  3. The Practitioner is not liable for any delays or disruptions caused by technical difficulties of whatever nature at the Student's home or their location for the lessons. The Practitioner shall not be required to make up any time lost through such incidents.

7. Advanced Trainings

The Participant may cancel any booking for an Advanced Training with the following notice periods and fees:

  1. More than 4 weeks' notice before the date of the training: 100% of the fee will be refunded

  2. 2-4 weeks' notice: 50% of the fee will be refunded

  3. 1-2 weeks' notice: 25% of the fee will be refunded

  4. Less than 1 week's notice: no refund

The London Feldenkrais Collective reserves the right to cancel an Advanced Training in the event of exceptional circumstances that mean the event can't be offered as advertised or if there are insufficient numbers booked into the event for it to be commercially viable. Should this happen the Participant will be given a full refund of fees paid.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

The agreement and the Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction of the location for the lessons (for online lessons the location of the Practitioner) and the parties agree that any dispute relating to the subject matter of this agreement or Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
